Ernest Hemingway, was a lot of things. He was a raconteur who reshaped modern literature with writing as bold and irreverent as he lived his life. His most famous works include legendary novels and short stories, including The Old Man and the Sea, A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Sun Also Rises. And Hemingway knew how to drink. His time spent in the Florida Keys gave rise to the Hemingway Daiquiri, a refreshing cocktail that cuts to the chase without losing the flavor of the furthermost point at the tip of the states. Don’t let the “daiquiri” name in the drink fool you. This isn’t gooey frozen sweetness. This is a punchy, tart and sweet libation that transports you to a bar at the end of nowhere with Jimmy Buffett on repeat.

WHAT YOU NEED:
2 ounces white rum
1/2 ounce Maraschino liqueur
3/4 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce grapefruit juice
Maraschino cherries, garnish
Lime wheel, garnish

DIRECTIONS:
Add the rum, Maraschino liqueur, lime juice, and grapefruit juice into a shaker with ice and strain. Garnish with a lime wheel.
