The Monroe Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its State of Local Government Luncheon, bringing together local leaders to share updates, insights and their visions for the future of Northeast Louisiana. Featured speakers included Ouachita Parish Police Jury President Shane Smiley, Monroe Mayor Friday Ellis, Richwood Mayor Gerald Brown and Sterlington Mayor Matt Talbert. The Chamber extends its appreciation to each speaker for their leadership and continued commitment to serving and strengthening our communities.

What a week in Monroe! The 89th Annual Louisiana Municipal Association Convention welcomed municipal leaders from across the state for a week of connection, collaboration, learning and plenty of FUNROE! It was an honor to showcase the community while celebrating 100 years of the Louisiana Municipal Association. A special thank-you to the City of Monroe team, volunteers, community partners, local businesses and everyone who helped make the convention a success. 

Corner Coffee celebrated 20 years of serving the community on August 15th! Throughout the day, friends, customers and community members stopped by to celebrate this special milestone with owners Madison and Kaylea Coates and the Corner Coffee family. The celebration honored two decades of great coffee, meaningful connections and countless memories, with many more still to come!
