Get everyone in on the action this Mother’s Day! The kids will love preparing (and eating) a light and refreshing parfait, decadent French toast, and maple bacon cooked just the way mom loves it! Grab a stem or two of Mom’s favorite flower to include on her breakfast in bed tray.

Mother’s Day Easy Parfait:

WHAT YOU NEED:
Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Local Honey
Fresh seasonal fruit, sliced
Granola

INSTRUCTIONS:
Add a layer of vanilla yogurt to the bottom of a clear stemmed glass. Drizzle honey and add a layer of mom’s favorite fresh seasonal fruits. Add another layer of vanilla yogurt and honey then top with layer of granola. Repeat steps until glass is full. Add a sprig of mint and extra berries on top.

Maple Bacon:
(this is a gamechanger)

WHAT YOU NEED:
12 oz thick cut bacon (try to find the ones without nitrates and nitrites!)
3 tablespoon maple syrup
¼ cup light brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a wire rack. Line bacon in a single layer across rack, overlapping slightly if necessary
Brush the maple syrup on top of the bacon with a silicon brush. Flip over bacon and repeat.
Sprinkle brown sugar on top of each slice of bacon.
Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, or until bacon is cooked to your liking. Let cool for 5-10 minutes and then remove from wire rack.
