The annual Race for the Cure was held on September 19th at Forsythe Park. More than 400 participants celebrated the 22nd Annual event. The one mile walk started at 8:00 a.m. and the 5k race began at 8:30 a.m.
Live music was provided onstage after the awards for each category were given. It was a day of celebration for many survivors and remembrance of those who have lost their battle to breast cancer.

Proceeds from the Komen Race for the Cure Series fund research efforts and local breast health and breast cancer outreach programs. A majority of the proceeds fund community projects related to breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment.
