On Saturday, January 28th, the Empty Bowls lunch event was held at the Ouachita Candy Co. Warehouse to benefit the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana. A sampling of signature dishes from multiple area chefs were served, accompanied by music, activities for kids and adults and a silent auction. With the price of an inclusive event ticket, guests were able to choose a beautiful bowl crafted by a local artist to take home. Participating restaurants included: Restaurant Sage, Health with Hope, Chef Pat Nolan, Wayne vs. the Winnebago, The Fat Pelican, Fiesta Nutrition Center, SQ’s on the River, For His Temple Foods, Newk’s Eatery, CC’s Coffee House and roeLA Roaster. Artists participating were Ann Johnston Currie, Emma Case Melville, Gary Ratcliff, Ouachita Council on Aging, Stacy Thomas, Rene Hatten and Sheila Floyd.
