The Northeast Louisiana Summer Film Series continues with the screening of Five Awake.
Directed by a Louisiana woman, this film follows the fierce efforts of five women who are fed up
with domestic violence. The women push anti-domestic violence laws through the Louisiana
legislature to protect their sisters across the state. The Arts Council partners with The Wellspring
to feature this film.
