Granny’s Recipe: Buttermilk Candy

Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chopped pecans
In large pot, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, buttermilk and baking soda. Cook to 242-244 degrees F on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and beat until creamy. Add pecans. Pour in a buttered dish and cut into pieces when cooled; or drop by sp
